RAKAIA RUGBY CLUB’S 2010 END OF SEASON DINNER Rakaia Ruby Club held their annual “End of Season Dinner and Open Grade Award Presentations” on Saturday 14th August at the Rakaia Community Centre to celebrate the end of another very successful rugby season. The dinner was attended by over 150 players, life members, sponsors and Supporters.
Josh Kronfield, an ex All Black and now a TV Celebrity on shows like Treasure Island, was the invited speaker and from all reports was a very popular visitor. The Open Grade Award Winners for 2010 were
Griffith’s Cup for Conduct and Ability - Todd Copland (Top Award in the Club, presented since the 1950s)
Senior Player of the Year Award - Matt Ward
Most Improved Senior Player of the Year Award -Lyndon Bennett
Senior Players Player Award – Matt Ward
Women’s Rugby Player of the Year Award - Gretchen McGuire
Division 2 Player of the Year Award – Jonathon Strange
Division 2 Most Improved Ruby Player of the Year Award – Mark Frear
